THE STORY
BEHIND THE FRAME.

THE BRIEF

Fuze Studios and Post Processed brought SNEZHANA.NYC CG Studio in to build the CG environment for a brand film pairing Aston Martin F1 and Glenfiddich, featuring Fernando Alonso. The concept placed a Formula One car in Glen Coe, in the Scottish Highlands, a location that could not be closed down or scheduled around the shoot. The answer was to rebuild the setting as a full CG environment, with Fernando filmed in studio ahead of production and the car and landscape reconstructed around him.

THE APPROACH

We built a digital twin of Glen Coe from satellite data, reconstructing the terrain, landscape, and assets as a photorealistic CG environment in Unreal Engine and Houdini. Environment work ran end to end: terrain and landscape assembly, asset preparation, lookdev, lighting, and optimization for real-time photorealistic render. The priority throughout was fidelity to the real location, so the digital Highlands read as the actual landmark under the film's grade and camera.

THE OUTCOME

A full CG digital twin of Glen Coe, built from satellite data in Unreal Engine and Houdini for a live-action brand film. The film was released with the live-action performance composited into a fully rebuilt Glen Coe, delivered at broadcast quality on a compressed schedule. The studio's environment ran inside a pipeline led by Fuze Studios, with the digital twin maintaining a photoreal finish across the film.
